Caol Ila 1975 - 21y Rare Malts - 6cl whiskybase – 88/286cl sample Caol Ila distilled 1975 21y bottled 04. 1997 21y Rare Malts 61,3% scores: whiskybase 90 152 (wb3437) serge valentin 87 our own rating: see below Nose: Citrus at first, some fuels and smokiness coming threw, lots of oiliness, fire oil barrels, but also shortbread and a fruity side (mango, flowers and banana), a pinch of salt. Palate: Starts of with floral sweetness before it explodes into smoke. Fresh and oily! Fantastic !! Slightly grassy
